(10/07/2008) UNISON Welfare is aware of the many pressures on UNISON members, especially those who will be striking for better pay this summer. Although we can usually help in times of difficulty, as a charity we cannot provide relief for hardship resulting from industrial action.

Farepak investigation report passed to lawyers

(29/05/2008) The consumer minister Gareth Thomas, announced to Parliament on 12 May that the government’s investigation into Farepak, the Christmas hamper company, by the companies investigations branch of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) had been completed. It is now “getting legal advice on whether there are grounds for further action.”

Meeting challenges, making a difference
