Time to lobby Scottish councillors on pay

Local government members in Scotland are being urged to lobby councillors across the country in the run-up to their industrial action ballot opening on 9 September.

The message for Scottish councillors is simple: local government workers are due a decent pay rise.

A draft letter to councillors, along with action points, has been sent to Scottish local government branch secretaries as part of a briefing.

If branches have not received this, they can email Trisha Hamilton or John Stevenson at t.hamilton@unison.co.uk or john.stevenson@unison-edinburgh.org.uk for an electronic copy.

Campaign materials, including posters and leaflets, will be available to download from the UNISON Scotland website shortly.

You can keep up to date on the Scottish local government pay campaign on the website, via Twitter, Facebook or a dedicated blog.
