UNISON members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the pay agreement UNISON and Napo had reached with the Probation employers.
(7/11/07) UNISON is concerned that some Probation Areas have matched/evaluated night waking supervisors in approved premised in Pay Band 1. We believe that such matchings/evaluations to be incorrect and we want to challenge this both nationally and locally.

(30/10/07) The government’s Comprehensive Spending Review, announced in early October, will see major cuts in probation financing for the next three years. Some in the probation service are predicting that these cuts could see a reduction in staffing of up to 10% or 2000 jobs.

(19/10/07) UNISON’s National Probation Committee wants to encourage a recruitment drive by branches and activists in the area of Unpaid Work. Enclosed with this circular is a copy of a new recruitment leaflet for use in Unpaid Work. An order form is also attached.
