Ambulance services
This is the web page of the UNISON ambulance sector committee. The sector committee is the professional group for UNISON's ambulance and paramedic members. The committee consists of representatives from each of the union's twelve regions plus co-opted members. Together they represent every grade of ambulance staff and every ambulance service in the United Kingdom including the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland ambulance services. UNISON is the largest union in the United Kingdom representing ambulance staff.
Following publication of the evaluation report on the ECA pilot project UNISON's National Ambulance Committee and the partner unions on the National Ambulance Strategic Partnership Forum have called for the withdrawal of ECA roles from frontline services. The full National Committee report is available under the National Service Review heading on the right of this page.
