UNISON duo win STUC equality award

UNISON members Marion Stewart and Elaine North have won this year's STUC One Workplace Equality Award.

Branch secretary Ms Stewart and steward Ms North, from UNISON Dumfries and Galloway local authority branch, led the successful campaign last year that saw a planned proposal to cut up to 70 classroom assistant posts withdrawn by education officials
