Battle against BNP continues
(21/6/07) Delegates reaffirmed UNISON’s “sustained and intelligent” campaign against the British National Party, after a passionate debate in Brighton today.

Conference heard of the union’s role, with others, in thwarting BNP local election bids up and down the country this year.

Today also saw Baroness Howells (pictured right) speaking of the legacy of the slave trade.
